GuestPost – Briana domenica
Nashville, TN – September 10, 2021) – Contemporary Christian singer/songwriter and inspirational speaker Briana Domenica is set to release her new music video, “With A Word,” premiering TODAY at NOON CST on her YouTube channel. The upbeat and encouraging song, which has become a fan favorite from her current album, Warrior In Me, is available on all digital and streaming platforms.
The song was co-written with industry veteran Keith Ridenour and multi-award-winning singer/songwriter and Dove-nominated artist John Lemonis (Crosby Lane). It was produced by Grammy award-winning musician Nate Cornell (For King and Country) at his studio just outside Nashville. The video was produced by Chris Beals and features Crosby Lane, a Nashville-based, husband-wife duo known for their signature Delta Folk music and storytelling. Watch it here.
“With A Word” shares a message especially powerful today, World Suicide Prevention Day, and for the entire month of September. September is National Suicide Prevention Month dedicated to honoring all those who have lost loved ones to suicide, recognizing those who face their own challenges, and reminding each and every one of them that – with faith and trust in God – you can overcome anything and you are not alone. With its lively and feel-good vibe, the song conveys an essential message to all, that although we may face struggles that we can not seem to overcome, no challenge is too big for God and that we can trust in Him to see us through.
“‘With A Word’ was actually the first song I ever wrote upon moving to Nashville. I came into the writing session with the concept of walking by faith rather than by sight, and John [Lemonis} immediately recited the lyrics for the first verse. I sat there in amazement, not knowing what to say for several moments – it was truly a God thing,” reflected Domenica. “Having experienced extreme loss and heartbreak in my life, and as someone who understands, I hope you find this song uplifting and that it provides continuous encouragement and strength.”
I speak and nothing changes,
The whole world falls apart.
I speak and it’s endless noise to my broken heart.
But the power of Your majesty…
With a word,
You are greater in hearing, “I believe.”
With a word,
My Creator, won’t you speak to me?
With a word…
Domenica will host “Shining a Light on Suicide Awareness” from 6-8 p.m. CST TONIGHT live from The Black River Stage located at Lipscomb University in The Well/Green Hills (4002 Granny White Pike, Nashville, TN 37215), one of the event sponsors. “Music is one of my greatest passions, but I am also deeply passionate about suicide prevention and awareness after losing several loved ones to suicide, including my brother, and I have also struggled with suicidal thoughts myself. In an attempt to turn family heartache and tragedy into something good, I started my 501c3 (Angel in the Sky) in May of 2016. My hope is to raise awareness and to help save lives through prevention, education, and the power of music,” Domenica commented. Angel in the Sky was also named after the first single off of her debut EP, Shine. Donations can be made via cash, credit card, check, and Venmo @Shining_A_Light for those who are unable to attend but wish to contribute. Donations can also be made here. Masks will be available at the door.
Domenica’s 10-song collection, Warrior in Me, including “With A Word,” is currently available on all digital and streaming platforms as well as on her website. ABOUT BRIANA DOMENICA
Domenica was born in Falmouth, MA and raised in South Florida but has since relocated to Nashville. She started performing at a very early age, and it was in second grade when she was cast in a school play that she realized it was her calling to be on stage. These opportunities provided Domenica with an outlet enabling her to strengthen her creative skills and to express herself. Following ten years of classical voice training, the young songstress ventured into other genres and eventually found her passion in Contemporary Christian music, which was a natural fit.
By the time Domenica was 17, she knew music was her destiny. Her drive, determination, talent, and faith paved the way, and she was blessed with amazing opportunities, including singing at Carnegie Hall and in Disney’s “Candlelight Processional at Epcot.” Music has also taken her to places she could never have imagined. Domenica has toured Prague, Vienna, Poland, England, Holland and Belgium for The Make a Wish Foundation.
Shortly after graduating high school, Domenica began pursuing her musical dreams. In 2019, following her move to Nashville, she released her first single, “Invisible,” followed by her first Christmas single and corresponding music video, “Oh, Night Divine,” both of which she co-wrote. She followed up those releases in 2020 with her third album, Warrior in Me, releasing a music video of the same title that exclusively premiered with CCM Magazine. Domenica especially loves writing songs and signed her first publishing deal with Song Rocket Music in 2019. Every time she puts pen to paper.
Domenica truly gives listeners a piece of her heart and a look into her soul in hopes of inspiring and relating to others through the universal language of music. Her songs are centered on her life experiences and her faith. She has also contributed her talents to many great causes, including Heart for Recovery, Love in Action, and was recently a featured guest on the renowned Jesus Calling’s podcast reaching over 1.5 million followers.
