Guest – Post Daisy Mae
I’m a 17-year-old Singer/Songwriter, guitarist, and pianist from Devon. I discovered my passion for music at the age of 10 when I taught myself the guitar and sang on one of the smaller stages at Boardmasters music festival in Cornwall.
Seeing the way that music enlivened people and brought them together encouraged me to keep playing. I started writing my songs and singing in small venues a couple of years later when I realised that I’d like to pursue a career as a Singer/Songwriter.
I am inspired by Bob Marley, John Martyn, Bob Dylan, Simon and Garfunkel, Ben Howard, and Jake Bugg. The authenticity and rawness of their music have influenced me. I also take inspiration from nature and my surroundings.
I have two tracks which are available on all streaming platforms (‘Stereotypes’ and ‘Senses’), and I am going to be releasing a new song on Saturday called ‘Too Late’. This song is about speaking up about what you think is right before it’s too late to change anything – despite the fact that people don’t seem to listen.
