Guest -Post Kieran Lancini

Kieran Lancini is a UK based country singer-songwriter from North Queensland, Australia. Success came early on for Kieran after being named Star Maker Winner at the 2002 Tamworth Country Music Festival which led to worldwide travelling and touring.

Lancini always had the urge to travel, and at 26 he embarked on a trip to the UK where he planned to stay for six months. As fate had it, he missed his return flight and ended up staying. He admits he thought his music career was a thing of the past.

“It wasn’t until I went back to Australia for the Star Maker 40th Anniversary show in Tamworth in 2019, that the performer was well and truly awoken in me. I was absolutely terrified… It was then that I decided to dip my toe back in.”

‘The Reason’ was co-written with Golden Guitar Winner, Tamara Stewart and was the first release by Kieran in 18 years!

“I didn’t expect the reaction I ended up getting for ‘The Reason’. It kind of took me by surprise. I didn’t think anything of it when I placed it out there – I had been away for a long time, but the messages and support I got was overwhelming.”

The eagerly anticipated new single ‘I Need You’ was co-written with Nashville songwriter Phil Barton who wrote the #1 US hit single ‘A Woman Like You’ (Lee Brice) in addition to ‘Yeah Yeah Yeah’ (Dustin Lynch) and ‘I Can’t Stop Loving You’ (Sara Evans) to name a few.
