What’s happening now is impacting us all in different ways. Sometimes it’s hard to know what to do, where to start or what to say. For anyone living with mental health problems, talking about it with anyone, let alone a medical professional can seem scary.
Having good mental health helps us relax more and enjoy our lives. Taking care of your mind, as well as your body is essential. You may be low, worried and anxious because of this COVID-19.
Improving Your Physical Health
Improving your physical health can have a positive influence on your mental health. Exercise can help to reduce depression and anxiety, improve sleep, improve your mood and reduce stress and anxiety.
Try These Tips To Help:
Get plenty of sleep
Avoid alcohol and drugs.
Activity and exercise even if it is walking.
Take up a new hobby.
Ask for help.
Make a motivational playlist.
There is no shame in asking someone for support if you are feeling low or stressed. Everyone goes through patches where they don’t feel as good as they should.
If you seek a G.P. for help and end up taking an Antidepressant, remember there is no shame in taking tablets. Medicines for depression are often so misunderstood. Antidepressants are designed to correct some of the imbalances in the brain that contribute to depression.
Taking tablets isn’t going to make all the issues go away, but some people find that medications can help them get some sort of balance back. Just being able to get up in the morning and deal with daily challenges is a good thing.
