For those who spend most of their time alone, here are a few tips on how to stay motivated, and focused. Waking up motivated is very hard for some people, and especially if you haven’t had a good nights sleep, it can be the last thing you are thinking of.

Waking up at the same time every day is the best way to start, working early in the morning gives you time to prepare for the day. Say out loud your affirmations and tell yourself you are going to have a good day.

Have a good healthy breakfast to wake you up and keep you fuelled for a few hours as this helps better with concentration and help you be more productive. Your surroundings can have a massive effect on your mood, so rearrange your office space and make it a place where you want to work.

Don’t multitask 

Learn to say no to people while you are in working hours


Don’t dwell on the past. 

Don’t’ expect immediate results; long term goals take time

Don’t let other’s influence your emotions.

Embrace loneliness and reinvent yourself in the process

Pick something new you want to learn.

Say goodbye to the people that don’t bring positive energy into your life.

Stop complaining and appreciate how lucky you are to wake up each day.

Staying motivated is hard, and it doesn’t come in a bottle. Set a goal and visualise it daily, make a list of the reasons why you want this goal so bad. Have a strategy, and remember not everything goes to plan, but this isn’t a reason to give up, find another way to go.

Motivation is what drives us to make things happen, talk with other successful people who have made it, research everything you do so you have an understanding of it all. Every small step you take is a step closer to your bigger goal.

When it comes to motivation, attitude is everything, so try and make it fun. As long as you have the expectation any task being potentially enjoyable, you will start to be motivated.
